Middle School

Welcome to the Middle School Youth Ministry Page!

The  Middle School Youth Ministry consists of sixth, seventh & eighth graders. These youth typically meet twice a month on Wednesday evenings for fellowship and service events. There will also be 2-3 special events that will not be held on Weds evenings that middle schoolers can enjoy (ie- bowling, lock-ins, service opportunities outside APLC, etc).  These events will be planned and publicized through weekly announcements, emails and newsletter articles. 

 

Meeting Time:
     -Middle School Youth Nights are held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday evenings of the month from from 7-8pm.

        ***AoB Wednesday evening for 7th & 8th Graders is held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 7-8pm.
        ***6th Graders are invited to help and lead activities for the Mustard Seeds group on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 7-8pm.

LYO Rally - Camp Agape Hike-a-thon

What is the LYO Rally / Hike-a-thon?  LYO (Lutheran Youth Organization) are youth who members of Lutheran churches who get together to serve, play, learn and grow together.  It is an organization who gives youth a voice in the larger church and opportunities to be leaders.  The LYO Rally is an opportunity for churches in Eastern NC to gather together to celebrate and serve together.  Each year at the Rally we travel to Camp Agape to be part of the Hike-a-thon and Basket Raffle.  It's a fundraiser to support the environmental education program at Camp Agape that serves so many schools and campers throughout the year.  Participants are able to hike over 8 miles of trails, enter to win basket raffles and enjoy a beautiful worship together!
 
Cost: The event will be cost approximately $30 per person ($25 goes to support Camp Agape's Environmental Education Program- ACE Ed)  Costs will cover two meals, supplies and a hike-a-thon t-shirt that every person receives.
